Minal Hahm is the co-founder of M Squared Engineering (M²). She has civil engineering experience in transportation engineering, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, stormwater management design, recreational facilities design, residential, commercial and industrial land development, agency permitting, and public works design in both Wisconsin and Illinois. She is a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM), with a strong understanding of local, as well as, federal requirements as they relate to stormwater and site development projects. Minal serves on WAFSCM, Friends of Cedarburg Parks and Rec, coaches her daughter’s Destination imagination team, and has served as a judge and finals round judge for the Future City Competition in Milwaukee for the past 16 years. In her free time, she is currently working on getting her private pilot’s license.
Matt Hahm, the other half of M Squared Engineering, has experience in residential and commercial land development, municipal engineering, transportation engineering, railroad engineering, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, stormwater management design, dam analysis and inspection, treatment plant maintenance, and agency permitting. Matt has worked extensively with numerous developers and municipalities such as the Village of Grafton, Town of Cedarburg, City of Cedarburg, City of Hartford, City of Plymouth, Milwaukee County, Kenosha County, and Ozaukee County. His professional relationship, personality, and ethical standards have helped grow M Squared Engineering to where it is today. Matt enjoys riding his Ultra Classic Harley Davidson through the country roads on his “days off” and has started his own development company.
Project Manager – Senior Transportation Engineer
Dave graduated from Marquette University in 2005 with a BSCE. His over 11 years of experience in transportation design on the east coast will be a great added value to our clients and projects. While in Virginia, he worked for AECOM as a Project Manager and Senior Transportation Engineer. He was responsible for significant number of infrastructure projects including urban and rural roadway and highway projects, utility projects, rail and port terminal projects, drainage and stormwater management projects and construction administration, inspection and management. In addition to state transportation agency experience, he brings experience with a significant number of municipalities, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), the US Army Corps of Engineers, FHWA, and private developers. His extensive array of experience will help serve our various clients throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota. We are excited to have him on our team and he is excited to be back home in Wisconsin, closer to his family.
Eric has engineering and construction experience on a variety of engineering related projects. His experience includes construction project management, roadway design, traffic operations, construction materials research, and surveying for the Wisconsin, Washington, and Michigan Departments of Transportation as well as the Illinois Tollway and various local agencies. Eric has recently worked on the WisDOT STH 158 construction project and is currently working on the Illinois Tollway Elgin-O’Hare Western Access construction project as lead Documentation Engineer and Construction Inspector.
Tony Gromacki, a Registered Land Surveyor, and has experience in land surveying, R/W plats, construction staking, as-built drawings, boundary and topographical surveys, ALTA/ACSM surveys, plat preparation, and Certified Survey Maps. Tony also provides transportation construction inspection. When you can get him away from his total station, he likes to go hunting and fishing, as well as spending time with his family.
Engineer / WisDOT Construction Leader
Peggy has civil engineering and construction management experience on a variety of engineering projects. Her experience includes construction inspection and management, quality assurance, surveying, erosion control, and sewer and water main design and inspection. She recently worked on the WisDOT STH 158 project as the Construction Leader and is currently providing construction management services for the CTY D (Main Street) Beech St.-CTY LL project in the Village of Belgium. Peggy gives back to her community by serving on the board of Habit for Humanity Ozaukee with the Site Selection Committee.
Diane recently graduated from University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in 2014. She brings her passion for water resources and engineering. Currently, she enjoys working on various projects including General Mitchell International Airport (GMIA)’s Airport Layout Plan, Mile-Long-Bridge Tri-State Tollway, and Baudette Rail Facility. In addition, she provides field support for survey, staking, and construction inspection.
Suraj Prasanna Kumar
Suraj graduated in May 2017 with his Masters in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Construction Management from Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan. He has experience working with the Village of Howard for the construction of utilities and roadway on development projects in Brown County. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University in India.
Cindy has been with M Squared Engineering since 2014, overseeing the administrative functions in the office as Administrative Assistant. She directly handles financial matters such as invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, banking and various other administrative tasks.
Sarah McCraw has 12 years of communications experience that ranges in a variety of areas including print and broadcast journalism, social media marketing and advertising sales on print and digital platforms. She is a 2005 graduate of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and a Minor in English. Sarah worked in television as a producer for six years before becoming a print journalist for local publications in Ozaukee County and a freelance writer for the SOIS Department at UWM. She joined the M Squared Engineering, LLC team after three years as an account executive at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Sarah and her husband Terrance grew up in Port Washington and have two daughters. She is passionate about giving back to her community and currently serves as the publicity chair on the board for the Ozaukee Chorus and is a member of the Village of Grafton’s Christmas Parade Committee.
