Water Resource Management

Water Resource Management

M Squared Engineering provides water resource management for both government entities and private developers.

The burden of water resource management is escalating for everyone including government entities and private developers. M Squared Engineering, LLC (M²) offers clients a full array of water resource management related expertise, specific to the Department of Transportation (DOT), Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Metropolitan Milwaukee Sewerage District (MMSD) and to the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). M² also provides water resource management services to a variety of municipalities and agencies.

Our experience in stormwater engineering and floodplain management qualifies us to evaluate complex hydrologic and hydraulic systems from a variety of perspectives. This allows us to provide clients with superior service. Our knowledgeable civil engineers can develop economical, creative solutions and designs. M² has a Certified Floodplain Manager on staff that keeps abreast of regulatory requirements. In addition, our Certified Floodplain Manager also maintains a comprehensive knowledge of new advances in the water resource management field.

Whether it’s a large-scale development, road improvements, stream relocation, or a small residential site with repetitive flooding, M² can provide a comprehensive and innovative stormwater management plan to suit the project’s developmental and economic needs. Our staff continually strives to develop innovative water resource management solutions for stormwater management, floodplain analysis and ground water hydrology so that every project is successful and under budget.

We also provide Elevation Certificates related to FEMA flood insurance requirements. This is required to obtain the lowest floor elevation of a structure in a floodplain. Your insurance premium is dependent on the elevation certificate information. The higher the elevation is above the Base Flood Elevation (BFE) the lower your premium. PLEASE CONTACT MATT HAHM FOR MORE INFORMATION at 262-376-4246.
